In 1971, Ginny and David Adelsheim purchased the 19 acres that would become Quarter Mile Lane Vineyard. They shared a dream with a handful of families that Oregonís climate and land could one day produce serious wines. A home was built, vines planted, and in 1978, the first commercial wines were produced. Over four decades, Adelsheim Vineyard grew up with Oregonís wine industry. Our passion has only gained strength as our early dreams have become reality. Much of the credit is due to a team of talented, driven professionals who have joined us. They know that raising the bar with every growing season requires ceaseless attention to detail Ė from managing the crop size vine by vine to controlling 180 individual Pinot noir fermenters Ė while staying focused on the big picture. At our core, we are about crafting wines in a style consistent with our place. We combine traditional and state-of-the-art techniques to produce wines that show elegance, complexity, balance, and richness in their aromas, flavors, and texture. In 1994, Lynn and Jack Loacker became co-owners of our company. They helped us re-envision our company so that we could become financially viable while not losing sight of our dreams. That financial stability has allowed us to expand our vineyard holdings in the Chehalem Mountains (and beyond) and to build a winery in which the envisioned quality can be realized. As our company traverses its fifth decade, there will be changes. The management team will evolve with younger talents taking over the leadership of the company. The ownership may evolve as well, but it is the commitment of the Adelsheims and Loackers that our company will remain independent and family-owned. Having reached the quantitative capacity of our facilities, our growth will be focused on ever-higher quality Ė in our wines themselves, in our customersí experiences with our wines, and in our service. It is our goal to be known as one of Oregonís great wine producers. We will accomplish that by continuing to invest in great sites and talent. We will be leaders in our industry, becoming a sustainable yet genuine force for economic and social growth in our state. We will collaborate with our industry colleagues to find innovative ways to market our region and its wines to the world so they have a global presence. We are still true believers in the unique pleasures of Pinot noir and the amazing white wines of Oregonís north Willamette Valley. The singular climate and the inimitable sites of this place are what allow us to create these memorable wines. It falls to us to explain their seriousness to the world

Adelsheim Auxerrois Ribbon Springs Vineyard 2012  750ml

While they picked this cepage first, as always, Adelsheim only harvested their 2012 Auxerrois Ribbon Springs Vineyard in the fourth week of September. Zesty pungency of lime and orange on the nose presage a subtly oily and refreshingly citric if pliably-textured palate performance. There is a slight green apple streak in the finish, where I wished for a bit more succulent persistence given what ... click for more details

Adelsheim Chardonnay Caitlin's Reserve 2013  750ml

Oregonís pioneer winegrowers planted using selections of Chardonnay that had been chosen for Californiaís climate. They were very late ripening - in Oregon, two or three weeks after Pinot noir. In 1974, David Adelsheim worked harvest in Burgundy and realized that the vines there produced fewer and smaller grape clusters and ripened in tandem with Pinot noir. He suspected that planting clones with  click for more details

Adelsheim Pinot Gris Willamette Valley 2014  750ml

Pinot gris originated in Burgundy, like the other members of the Pinot family, and has had a long history all over Europe. In recent times, versions from Alsace and northern Italy have been the best known. Oregon winegrowers introduced Pinot gris to New World viticulture and in 45 years the variety has become the principal white wine of Oregon. Adelsheim Vineyard was one of the very first ... click for more details

Adelsheim Pinot Noir Bryan Creek 2012  750ml

Crisp and vibrant, on the tart side, with vivid currant and purple plum fruit that zings with hints of lime and mineral as the finish lingers effortlessly against superfine tannins. Drink now through 2022.-H.S.In 1988 we approached our neighbors Joy and Jess Howell about leasing us 20 acres to plant grapes. Their 60-acre property is directly across the road from our original estate vineyard at ... click for more details

Adelsheim Syrah Calkins Lane Vineyard 2010  750ml

Dark and fragrant, this interesting Syrah opens quickly with blue and black berries, a streak of balsamic, and suggestions of bloody meat. Off to a great start, it thins out through the finish, while remaining interesting with surprising complexity.Syrah is one of the principal varieties grown up and down Franceís Rhone Valley. However, it is in the northern part of that valley where the variety ... click for more details
