3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?

Banyuls wines, in a kaleidoscope of sea, mountains, sunshine and wind, are above all wines for pleasure. The vines, open to the generous climate, produce expressive, quintessential, rich, powerful, elegant and aristocratic wines steeped in the warmth of the sun and the rusticity of the schist soils. The character of the terroir and wines of Banyuls stems from the majestic Grenache grape variety

Tasting notes
A ruby-red colour with shimmering hints of violet. On the nose, it reveals aromas of very ripe red and black fruit. On the palate, the wine is full and well-balanced with jammy aromas of blackcurrant and blackberry, backed by distinctive woody notes.

Wine maker notes
The grapes are picked by hand after plot by plot tasting to check their ripeness. Once the traditional vinification process has been started, fermentation is halted before pressing by fortification of the musts. This technique, combined with a long maceration of 14 to 20 days, enables an optimal extraction of the aromatic and tannic substances and can only be used on harvests of excellent quality. One part of the wine is left to mature in barrels and the other part in vats to preserve all the fruity aromas.
