Ridge Distillery is a labor of love for owners Jules and Joe Legate. After years of studying, tasting and experimentation, this husband and wife team has successfully turned their passion into a business. They currently produce a classically-styled French Absinthe, Absinthe Extrait d’Absinthe Verte and Silvertip, an American style gin. Committed to producing traditional, small-batch artisanal spirits, Jules and Joe use an old copper alembic still from Portugal, grow their own aromatics and blend each batch by hand.

Technical notes

(88º) The terroir of Montana's Rocky Mountains is particularly well suited to growing the aromatic herbs required to make gin and most of those used for Silvertip (juniper, coriander, caraway, orris and angelica) are grown in the Legate's backyard. Like many craft distillers, Jules and Joe strive to create spirits that explore wider ranges of flavor – Silvertip is a traditionally made, artisanal gin that reflects the flavors and aromatics unique to Montana.

Food pairing

Delicate but well structured, Silvertip mixes well with multiple cocktails but is also recommended on the rocks with a twist.
