Nieto Senetiner Bonarda Reserva 2011

Nieto Senetiner Bonarda Reserva 750ml 2011
Sku: 1791380

3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?

Sourced from vineyards in Lujan de Cuyo at an elevation of 3,181 feet, this wine is true to its varietal. Bonarda is quickly becoming a main grape in Argentina, second only to the country’s star, Malbec. Originally from Italy, this grape flourishes in Argentina and pairs well with a variety of foods.

Tasting notes
Deep red in color, this wine displays aromas of redfruit, chocolate, and coffee. On the palate, there is a lot of personality with flavors of cherries and raspberries mixed with hints of cocoa and espresso bean. This wine has great structure and a persistent fruit-filled finish.

Wine Advocate 89 points (Oct 2012)
The 2011 Nieto Senetiner Reserva Bonarda is just a little reduced on the nose, with a touch of banana skin infusing the pleasant mulberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with rounded tannins, good acidity and a very harmonious finish that offers crisp blackberry, mulberry and apricot fruit. This is a well-crafted Bonarda at a great price. Drink now-2016.

Food pairing
Grilled or roasted chicken, risotto with mushrooms, beef or cheese filled ravioli with tomato based sauce.
