Paringa Shiraz 2011

Paringa Shiraz 750ml 2011
Sku: 1808613

3 day lead-time required to confirm availability Why?

Paringa, located 150 miles northeast of Adelaide in South Australia, is owned by David Hickinbotham. The vineyards cover 1,700 acres of prime Riverland property that sits on sandy loam topsoil over limestone. David and winemaker John Gledhill maintain low yields (5-6 tons per acre), practice careful canopy management and source water from the nearby Murray River. Kym Teusner is consulting winemaker and winemaker Trevor Jones produces the white wines.

Tasting notes
This ripe red presents intense aromas and flavors of blackberries, black currants and dark stone fruits with notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and hints of mocha and oak. Soft and finely textured tannins integrate with balanced threads of acidity on the elegant and velvety finish.

Technical notes
Sourced from 16 year old vines grown on sandy loam topsoil over limestone.
